Mark your calendar now to attend our next Genetic Edge Bull Sale which will be held here at the ranch in Idaho Falls, Idaho on Saturday, March 13, 2010 beginning at noon MST. We will be offering 700 Head of Cattle consisting of 400 Angus and Charolais Performance Tested Bulls along with 50 Registered Angus Females and 260 Commercial Angus Replacement Females. As always, these bulls are backed by the best guarantee in the business. Simply stated, if you get your bull home and are not satisfied with him, we’ll make things right. We invite everyone to visit our stalls on “The Hill” in Denver while attending the 2010 National Western Stock Show. We will have our Bases Loaded heifers and NWSS Bull Sale entries on display. The week’s festivities begin on Tuesday afternoon, January 12 at 5:00pm with the Bases Loaded Sale. The Riverbend Ranch offering includes the Lot 20-Riverbend Blackcap U1008, a Connealy Onward daughter out of the Riverbend donor, Rita 3B2. Selling as Lot 21-Riverbend Blackcap U983, an EXT daughter out of the $320,000 valued New Design 1200. This donor and brood cow prospect combines a classic pedigree with an absolutely stunning phenotype. Make certain to stop by and see her! Selling as Lot 22-Riverbend Blackcap Heifer Pregnancy sired by the exciting growth and MB sire, Credence and out of the Riverbend foundation donor, Rita 6S9. Also selling Tuesday afternoon is Lot 23-Riverbend Lady U959 sired by Emblazon and stemming from the feed efficiency Lady family. This outstanding young donor prospect offers a valuable outcross pedigree.
Selling in the NWSS Bull Sale on Thursday, January 14 at 4:00pm will be the top-performing bull of his calf crop at Riverbend Ranch, Lot 21-Riverbend Everready. He is a son of Connealy Onward out of Rita 3B8. Maternal brothers to Everready include Riverbend Cornerstone, the top-selling bull of the 2009 Riverbend Bull Sale and Riverbend Goodnight, the top-selling bull of the 2008 sale at Riverbend whose first 54 progeny earn BW and WW ratios of 99 and 101, respectively. Also selling on Thursday is Lot 34-Riverbend Rito Revival, a wide-based, square-hipped, muscular and masculine son of the popular Riverbend herd sire, Rito Legacy 3R9. His dam, New Design 1441 earned a WW ratio of 102 and YW ratio of 113 on three natural calves and posts an average IMF ratio of 103 on 60 progeny scanned. His maternal brother, Riverbend End Product was the top-selling bull of the 2007 Riverbend bull sale. We are extremely excited about the future potential of both of these bulls! This year we plan to offer 650 Head consisting of 400 Angus and Charolais Bulls, 50 Registered Angus Females and 200 Commercial Females. As always, we back these bulls with the best guarantee in the business. Simply stated, if you get your bull home and are unsatisfied with him for any reason, we’ll make things right. All Angus bulls and females selling will be DNA Tested Arthrogryposis Multiplex Free. Our sale booklet will be available in late February.
